Split Payments is now live on Express, bringing an essential service to the table. Now you can evenly divide a check total between guests, collect separate payments, and automatically print accurate, individual receipts.

Fiscal Hours
Ensure reporting matches your hours of operation by customizing your fiscal hours
Reporting on late night shifts just got a little easier. You can now customize your Fiscal Hours in the SpotOn Dashboard-giving you more flexibility to define when your business day starts and ends. This update is especially helpful for anyone that operate past midnight.
Instead of having reports split across two days, you can now align your reporting to how your business actually runs. No more confusion-just cleaner, more accurate data.

Set your fiscal day start time (e.g., 5 AM instead of 12 AM)
Sales, labor, and payroll reports will align with your new fiscal hours

Displaying Cash Prices on Pre-Reciept
Show Both Prices with Pre-Payment Cash Discount Receipts
You can now show both cash and card prices on prepayment receipts if you're offering a cash discount. This helps clarify payment options for guests while reducing legal and operational risk.
No more handwritten notes or confusing math. Just clear, compliant pricing baked into the guest experience.
Order Numbers
Stay in Sync with Order Numbers on Express
You now have order numbers on Express POS and Kiosk. Each order gets a unique, sequential number that appears on receipts, kitchen chits, KDS cards, and POS screens across all devices.
This reduces fulfillment errors, speeds up handoffs, and polishes your operations.
Auto Clock-out
Automatically End Forgotten Clock-outs
Forgotten clock-outs can lead to inflated labor costs, messy reports, and extra work for your managers. With auto clock-out, Express can now automatically end any open shifts at the end of your fiscal day - no more guessing or fixing timecards manually. You’ll see a clear label on affected shifts in the payroll and timecard pages, so nothing slips through the cracks. The feature is off by default, but can be enabled in your Labor settings to help keep your time tracking clean, accurate, and stress-free.

We've rolled out a behind-the-scenes update to boost Express KDS performance during busy shifts. This update helps your system manage KDS memory more efficiently, so it can handle large menus and heavy order volumes without slowing down or crashing.

Fewer KDS slowdowns and crashes during peak hours
Faster syncing, even with big menus and high order counts
