For easier readability, titles with more than one word are abbreviated using the first three letters of the first word and three letters of the second. Review the full release note, here.
The latest Express POS update brings significant improvements, including a redesigned main menu screen with categories now displayed in a vertical list on the left, updated item tiles, and a refreshed cart design for both merchant and customer displays.
SpotOn Express adds Dual Pricing and Gift Cards! (March 6, 2024)
Physical Gift Cards: Expand your revenue streams by offering physical gift cards, now available through eCard's online portal. You can request these cards at any time, and eCard will handle the shipping. From your POS, you can easily load value onto gift cards, check balances, and accept payments with active cards. For businesses already using gift cards, you can seamlessly import existing cards into eCard's system to ensure continuity.
Dual Pricing (Cash Discount): Offset credit card processing fees with SpotOn's Dual Pricing program, allowing you to pass these costs onto customers. By pricing your menu items for credit payments, you enable customers to pay the listed price with a credit card or receive a discount for paying with cash. This program can be opted into during the application process or by contacting SpotOn support. Note: You'll need to manually adjust menu prices to account for the cash discount, as the system will not automatically adjust prices for merchants.
